Talisman of Good Fortune – An Adoration of Laksmi

varamahalakshmi-festival_13432948154

Background:

In Vedic Hinduism, Laksmi is knwon as the Goddess of Fortune. She is the consort of Vishnu and appears with him in all his incarnations. She is sometimes depicted sitting on a lotus is a sea of milk. Laksmi in her aspect as the Goddess of Beauty is known as Sri. Laksmi means, “She of the Hundred Thousands”, the power of multiplicity. She is also the Goddess of Reality or Causation

Materials:

– A large chunk of clay (the kind that dries overnight)
– A flower for each participant
– Milk
– Chalice (for the milk)
– Loaf of bread

The Rite:

0. Open the space with ritual of chosing — I recommend the Rite of Three Rays.

1. Enter appropriate state of consciousness with the repitition of the mantra:

AUM SRIM SRIM SRIM AUM (25 times or as long as desired)

Each participant should simultaneously pluck a petal from hir flower and place it in front of hirself. Then pluck one petal for Laksmi. Repeat, making two piles of petals.

2, Main Operator recites Evocation:

AUM AUM AUM
SRIM SRIM SRIM SRIM SRIM

LAKSMI, SHE OF GREAT FORTUNE
LAKSMI, SHE OF DIVINE BEAUTY
LAKSMI, SHE WHO BORE KARMA
LAKSMI, SHE OF THE HUNDRED THOUSANDS
LAKSMI, SHE OF MULTIPLICITY
COME TO US LAKSMI
SHOW US YOUR LOTUS FEET
WE BOW TO LAKSMI
MAY WE PLEASE YOU THIS DAY

AUM AUM AUM
SRIM SRIM SRIM SRIM SRIM

3. The sacrifice is offered to Laksmi:

Pass the bread and each participant takes a bite and passes it on. When it returns to the Main Operator, hishi says, ” We bow to the lotus feet of the daughter of Videha,” and places the bread in the center of the circle. Pass the milk in the same manner as the bread; the M.O. says, “We bow to she who is the daughter of the waves.”

The participants then place the pile of flower petals for Laksmi in the center of the circle. The M.O. states, “We bow to the destroyer of the three kinds of pain.”

4. The M.O. then holds up the clay in the right hand and states,” This is our potential.” The M.O. holds up a handful of of flower petals in the left hand and states, “This is our energy. May your hands guide ours as we create our fortunes.”

5. The M.O. then kneads the petals into the clay and passes it along. Each participant will spend some time kneading the petals and clay together, All the while chanting the mantra.

6. When the clay returns to the M.O., hishi tears off a chunk for hir own talisman and the clay is again passed around for each participant to take a piece. The remainder is left in the center.

7. Each participant fashions hir talisman to hir liking. Put aside to allow to dry.

8. Banish with laughter and revelry.

The rite proper ends here. I would suggest that people recharge the talisman on the New Moon in any manner one deems proper. It is certainly a good idea to periodically recharge the talisman.

Insurrectional Resurrection Rite

AlchemyGothic-Alcantogram

Setup:

  • Trip to local 1800s cemetary dedicated to unknown civil war soldiers to look for power fetish to use in rite.
  • Gleefully snatch up piece of vandalized antiquated grave monument ideally suited to serve as a thin taper candle holder (a tiered white disk with green patches of lichen or mold and a hole in the center)
  • (begin under full moon on easter eve)

Procedure:

  1. Go outside and open crown chakra. Draw in light of full moon to illuminate subconscious awareness. Go back inside, place burgundy/brownish red candle in piece of monument from cemetary. Meditate on 11 years that have passed in preparation for this. Build desire for successful universal autonomy. Try to clear mind of all prepared ideas and plans, then rest hand on edge of candle holder as sleep comes. Ask for a shamanic guide to come during night.
  2. On easter, (the next day), put on “Filigree and Shadow” by This Mortal Coil and light taper. As light from the flame reflects on the air around it, link with ancestors and let trance state claim consciousness resistence to abandonment of independent “self.” Hold in mind a thought of the need for a “civil” war to gain our right to autonomy and freedom to be individuals and invoke the Conneaut dead:
  3. I call:
…you who could not understand the thrill of freedom
…you who shrank from the push of “choice”
…you who so jealously guarded your claim on family
…you who cried for yourself but not for others
…you who so bullied and abused friends
…you who so fiercely demanded and signed laws
…you who so righteously claimed to know the best for your neighbors
…you who so condescendingly set your city limits
…you who restricted the knowledge your schools taught
…you who saw the lies in all beliefs – except your own
…you who so stubbornly clung to reason and sense
…you who garrotted your instincts and slaughtered your dreams
…you who limited your children even as you beat them
    …you who condemned adventuresome women
…you who only watched in unconfessed desire
…you who feared and risked not
  4. Now that you are dead and can see how your blindness forfeited the chances you could not see when you were living and had the right to act, I call on you to back those who do trust the whispers you refused to hear. Those who WILL act to unloose the changes you were so afraid of. Those who hold the vision you turned away from.
I was born of the dreams of those damned to know. I am the present of their sacrifice. And I am of my ancestors: I will not be stopped. And you are dead of the living you have created, but left living as dead. Take the chance I offer and breath life into what you left so bound and dull. Back them who WILL act. I exchange my egocentric self rule for the honor of carrying your force by proxy to serve the creative force my self is aligned with.
  5. 5. Spill blood in cemetary to seal.

THE VEVEREVERBERATION RITE

tumblr_mip1dePndc1qjdvvto1_500

All Participants gather in an area which has as its center a center-post, tree, or pole erected. Necessary for its performance are a bowl of water, a tape of syncopated drums (suggested rhythm is 111.111.111 etc.) and/or drums for playing, candles and cornmeal for the drawing of the vevers. Elaborations may include ritual flags. A minimum of three participants is suggested:

  • La Place holds a sword and directs all actions of the ceremony.
  • HoungŽnikon assists and is in charge of the offerings.
  • Hounsis Kanzos are all the other participants; this being a majikal ceremony, there are to be no spectators, only participants!

If LSD is to be used as the sacrament, it should be taken before the ritual begins; the peak should occur sometime soon after the loa (or lwa) is invoked.

The Vevereberation Rite:

1. Libation

  1. The bowl of water is “presented” to the eight directions of the circle in cardinals, ie. first to the four points in a counter-clockwise fashion, then to the inbetween spaces clockwise. Example: The bowl is thrust to the N, then to the W, to the S and to the E. Then the bowl is thrust toward the NE, then the SE, the SW, and finally the NW.
  2. The Loa, Legba notably, is invoked.
  3. The water is poured 3x onto the center-post and 3x to the north-west of the working area. A line of water is then drawn from the NW back to the center-post.
  4. The center-post is kissed 3x by all participants.

2. Opening

La Place performs a banishing using the sword.

3. The Vevers

Candles are lighted and placed near the center-post in the direction of where the vever is to be drawn.

The vever for Kalku (Lord of the Crossroads) is drawn with its center being that of the post.

Invitation: “Papa Legba, ouvre barrie pou nous passer!”

4. Chemickals

Whatever chemiognostic method to be employed is done now.

The Loa are invoked in no apparent order.

5. The BattŽrie

The rhythm is 111 pause 111 pause 111 pause. Repetitions of 14 each then a long pause. The batteries may be drums, clapping, stomping, whatever. Dancing and abandonment to ob-livion follow to end.

WATCHER CONJURATION

horus

Purpose:

It is the intention of this working to create a particular type of servitor called a Watcher. The Watcher’s function, as its name implies, is to act as guardian for its creator, functioning in effect as an extra pair of eyes. It may be bound to a particular place as a watchman, or may be of a more spatially general nature, per the specifications of the conjurer.

Materials Needed:

Octarine-colored lights & Ouranian Incense & Material from which to create a figurine (i.e., clay, wax, wood) & Glass container & A square of silk & Wrapping large enough to cover the glass container & Black electrical tape & A cigarette of any type

Preliminaries:

1. Fashion a figurine in the form of a horned serpent, and paint it (if desired) in whatever colors you desire, with the exception that the figurine’s eyes should be in a color that forms a “flashing color” in combination with octarine. Pay very close attention to detail, and use utmost skill in your creation of the figurine.

2. Decide upon a name for the Watcher; there are no rules for this choice.

3. Draw upon the wrapping for the container your personal sigil/glyph. This will face into the container.

4. Inscribe upon the cigarette the planetary sigils for Ouranos (at the end that gets lit), Jupiter (in the center), and Mars (at the end of the smokeable part).

5. Make sure that your working area is lit only with the octarine lights, and fumigate well with the Ouranian incense.

The Conjuration:

0. Open a Vortex, ending it with the words “XIQUAL (name of the Watcher)”

1. Place the figurine upon your altar.

2. Recite the following invocation to Ouranos:

Io Ouranos! Serpent of Octarine Flames!
I summon thee from within me, within me!
Io Ouranos (repeat 8 times)

(Visualize an octarine eight-rayed star within the figurine)

The Octarine arrow pierces my creation
The name of this servitor, this Watcher,
is ___________________ (Watcher’s name)

Come, Ouranos, breathe life into my creature!
Ouranos, God of Magick Octarine
Ouranos, Serpent Octarine

Ouranos, Baphomet, Semyaza, Carmara (repeat 7 times)

Repeat the above 3 times, maintaining strictest concentration upon the figurine throughout.

3. Still focusing exclusively upon the figurine, address it with the words:

Watcher! (say its name)
I am thy god, you are my servant
Serve me well, watch for me and warn me,
I shall reward you with life;
Fail me, and I shall destroy you forever!

4. Light the cigarette and inhale some of the smoke. As you exhale it over the figurine, chant the words “Io Ouranos” with the first drag, “Io (your magical name here)” with the second, and “Io (insert Watcher’s name here)” with the third. The intonation of each phrase should last exactly as long as does your exhalation of smoke.

5. Repeat step 4 until the cigarette has been entirely consumed. It is best to smoke the entire cigarette without losing any of the ashes.

6. The cigarette being finished, rub the entire interior of the glass container briskly with the square of silk.

7. Pick up the figurine and place it upon whatever item you are accustomed to using as a focal point on your altar. Address the Watcher with the words:

(Watcher’s name), here is Axis Mundi!
This is my body
This is your soul!
Serve me well, watch for me and warn me,
and I shall reward you with life;
Fail me, and I shall destroy you forever!
You are my servant; I am your god!

8. Hold the Watcher in the incense smoke and say to it:

(Watcher’s name), here is Spiritus Mundi!
This is the breath of Ouranos
This is my breath!
Serve me well, watch for me and warn me,
and I shall reward you with life;
Fail me, and I shall destroy you forever!
You are my servant; I am your god!

9. Place the Watcher against your own body until its temperature is the same as your own, while addressing it with the words:

(Watcher’s name), here is Stella Sol!
Here is warmth and succor
Here is fire and brimstone!
Serve me well, watch for me, protect me
and I shall reward you with life;
Fail me, and I shall destroy you forever!
You are my servant; I am your god!

10. Place the figurine inside the glass container and seal it. Wrap the container in whatever wrapping you have chosen, with your personal sigil facing inward.

11. Fasten the wrapping shut with the electrical tape in the form of an eight-rayed star.

12. Shout out, “It’s alive! Alive!”

13. Close the Vortex and anokquz.

Notes:

Once you have wrapped the glass container, it is not to be opened again. No one but the conjurer should ever see the Watcher-figurine, and no light should ever fall on it save octarine light. Should the container ever get broken, prepare a new container and transfer the figurine to it only after having fumigating with Ouranian incense and illuminating the working space solely with octarine light. Ideally, no one but the conjurer should be told precisely what the container holds.

THE UTCHA RITE

Thoth copy

Description:

This is an Egyptian Evocation rite for bringing progress, movement, luck and money to the operators.

The rite uses the energy of the planets Jupiter and Mercury, corresponding to aspects of the gods Heru (Horus) and Tehuti (Thoth) of the Egyptian pantheon. During the rite, the energy of Jupiter and Mercury is evoked into edible representations of the heart and brain. These may be made of any edible substance; cookies, for instance.

Background:

To the ancient Egyptians, the heart represented the true will and progress, while the brain was thought to embody the concept of Maat (truth) and represented the actions of movement and intelligence. In ancient times, the heart and brain of the deceased were eaten in an attempt to gain the afore-mentioned qualities of their previous owners.

In this rite you are eating your own heart and brain, which have had the power of Mercury/Tehuti and Jupiter/Heru evoked into them.

The Rite:

1. Consecration of the working space.

2. Statement of Intent: “It is our will to bring progress, luck, movement and money to our selves.”

3. Everyone spins around in circles in the midst of strobe light and/or psycho music in order to gain gnosis in an excitatory manner. During this, the operators will be visualizing the violent removal of their present heart and brain. It is suggested that the heart be felt as torn bleeding from your body and dangling painfully from the chest cavity. The brain should be felt as exploding outward from the skull.

4. When suitable gnosis is obtained, those operators who are still in working condition will promptly collapse at will. The operators then bring their new edible heart and brain before them. At this time the operators may state to themselves what their particular goals are (if they have specific goals in mind).

5. The 1st M.O. begins the Egyptian Evocation of Jupiter and Mercury, Heru and Tehuti. Opperators will envision Heru a entering the heart and Tehuti as entering the brain. Heru can be visualized as a strong, conquering, golden hawk-headed being, very sure and strong of will. Tehuti can be visualized as a benign ibis-headed being who embodies truth and intelligence.

First Evocation:

Tep ra-a tu
(my mouth speaks)
Sah-a ses
(my legs walk)
Qeb-t-a sa
(my arms protect)
Pa qer au-t shash
(the sky is open)
Geb shash mer-t-a
(Geb opens my eyes)
Anpu ses men-t-a
(Anpu strengthens my thighs)
Sakhmet tun ua
(Sekhmet stretches me)
Nuk kher ba
(I have power)
An ha-t-a
(in my heart)
An qeb-t-a
(in my arms)
An sah-a
(in my legs)
N ari-ab-a
(to do my will)

6. The 2nd M.O. begins the second part of the evocation, which the other operators take part in. All parts written in capital english are said by all and will be prompted by the 1st M.O.

Second Evocation:

Sper Tehuti ah Heru
(come forth Thoth and Horus)
Set Sebakau ah Heru-up-shet
(Mercury and Jupiter)

COME FORTH TEHUTI AND HERU
MERCURY AND JUPITER

Heru n at tuan n ha-t apen

Er mas pa a ah hep-t
(to bring the intelligence, movement, and progress)
N Set Sebakau
(of Mercury)

COME FORTH TEHUTI AND HERU
MERCURY AND JUPITER…

7. Everyone eats the charged hearts and brains.

8. Spastic laughter.

THE REASSEMBLING OF TIAMAT

Takhisis-e-Fizban

Background:

This rite was specifically created for the Rites of the Invisible Sun event. In traditional Sumerian mythology, Marduk, who corresponds to the planet Jupiter, chopped Tiamat (the sea-serpent being of Chaos) into pieces and thereby created the four elements (earth, air, water, fire). It is said that when Marduk is distracted, Tiamat may be allowed to awaken from her slumber and slip back together.

Since Marduk is Jupiter, he was quite distracted during the ROTIS by the onslaught of the comet Shoemaker-Levy 9 bombarding him. The purpose of this rite is to reassemble Tiamat by a symbolic intermingling/ unifying of all the elements. The M.O., corresponding to Aether, uses carbonated water to symbolize water and air. It then draws the Tiamat sigil created during the rite onto a piece of wood, which symbolizes earth, and lights this whole mixture on fire, hence integrating the fire element. This rite may be performed at any time, but you may want to add something to distract Marduk.

Necessary Items:

– Carbonated Water
– Pocket Fire Elemental (matches are suggested)
– Small Piece of Wood (light enough to float on water)
– Lighter Fluid
– Plenty of Paper and Pens
– A Metal Bowl

The Rite:

1. Each participant is assigned an element (earth, air, water, fire). An even number of people per element is suggested, but not absolutely necessary. It is imperative, however, that each element is represented by at least one participant.

2. Each participant will make a separate sigil of their particular element.

3. A grid is drawn on the ground beneath the working space to create four separate sections. Each section is assigned an element:

E | A
--+--
W | F

4. All participants begin in the center where the M.O. is situated with the metal bowl, carbonated water, piece of wood, matches, lighter fluid, some form of illumination, paper and pen.

5. Statement of Intent:

“It is our will to reassemble the elements of Tiamat.”

6. The M.O. states: “We call earth.” All earth participants move into the section of the grid corresponding to their element and, focussing on their sigils, proceed to “become” the element earth (i.e., feel themselves as the element, act in the manner of the element, etc..). During this, the earth participants will chant the name: “Enki”. This is the Sumerian God of earth.

The M.O. states: “We call air.” All air participants move into their part of the grid and become air while concentrating on their sigils and chanting: “Enlil” (God of Air).

The M.O. states: “We call fire” and all fire participants follow suit. Their word is: “Gibil” (God of Fire).

The M.O. states: “We call water.” The word is: “Nammu” (God of Water).

7. While the elements are becoming themselves, the M.O. is anti-concentrating itself upon becoming Aether, the so-called 5th element (or non-element or all-element as the case may be). When a proper state of gnosis is attained by Aether, it proceeds to pour the carbonated water into the metal bowl.

8. The M.O. (Aether) yelps: “We call Tiamat.” All elements converge once again in the center and hand the M.O. their sigils. While the elements are converging in the center (gnostically becoming intermixed and losing their singular elemental identities), all chant: “Tiamat.” During this, the M.0. will combine all the sigils into one conglomerate sigil on a piece of paper and then draw this conglomerate sigil onto the piece of wood.

9. The M.O. will dowse the top of the piece of wood containing the sigil and then the carbonated water with lighter fluid, light the wood on fire and carefully place it atop the carbonated water in the metal bowl. If necessary, the M.O. will light the top of the mixture so that the entire surface is blazing.

10. All other participants will memorize the sigil and, once the elements have been combined symbolically, begin to spiral out into the corners randomly, paying no mind to which section they end up in. Becoming the elements combined, all continue to chant: “Tiamat.”

11. When gnosis is significant and the elemental combination in the metal bowl has burned out, the M.O. will scream: “Tiamat is reborn!” All repeat and banish by hissing.

12. The sigil may be copied by all and utilized in any way desired as a new symbol for all elements combined/Tiamat.

The sigil created at the Rites of the Invisible Sun by this rite was

THE R’LYEH AWAKENING

cthulhu

An Evocation of Kthulhu the Elder God

Background:

R’lyeh, the sleeping city in the depths of the subconscious ocean. There lays Kthulhu in not so silent slumber, dreaming of What will come. We Will awake R’lyeh and Kthulhu and call our sleeping dreams to life.

Materials Needed:

A stick Totem in shape of the “Kthulhu Sigil”, fuel and space for fire (outdoors), and each participant need have a personal sigil or symbol of a dream they will to come to life drawn on a small piece of paper. Before Rite begins all tie or glue sigils to Totem.

The Rite:

0. Space is opened by Magi leading Rite drawing a very large Seven pointed star on ground while chanting “IMIN”.

1. All step into a corner point. Those not fitting in the 7 will circle around the outside of the star. All at corners walk interconnecting star lines while chanting “IMIN”. All outside circle walk counter-clock chanting the same.

2. As leading Magi begins this Invocation all stop and repeat:

KTHULHU HEAR THE ELDER SONS
KTHULHU OF THE ANCIENT ONES
KTHULHU WE CALL TO YOU
KTHULHU WE ARE OF YOU
KTHULHU COME AND WAKE US
KTHULHU COME AND TAKE US
KTHULHU TO THE DEPTHS OF DREAM

3. All sit in silence and stare trance on Totem. Once image is held, close eyes and visualize same image with all others gathered around, but. . . underwater with fish and sea plants all around. Hold Totem image. . . underwater, and see all others with green fish-like skin and features know that you are the same.

4. Main Magi begins calling “Wake Up” as all open eyes and see Totem is really still there and all stand slowly.

5. M. M. leads chant of:

We Dream
This dream is life
We Dream
Our dreams alive

(repeat)

6. M. M. leads chant change to “Dreams Rise” as all dance wildly around and M. M. torches Totem.

7. All keep dancing wildly and chanting as Totem burns and then banish ritual space with a fit of hysterical laughter.

“KTHULHU TOTEM”

. . .and what dreams will come, Kthulhu

NYARLATHOTEP SUMMONING AND CTHULHU DREAMWORKING

Nyarlathotep

Purpose or Goal:

Nyarlathotep is considered the messenger, will, and soul of the Outer Gods of the Lovecraftian Mythos. In this mythos the Outer Gods (along with the Elder Gods) rule the universe. Though these Gods are frequently portrayed as ‘evil’ and chaotic; there is a wealth of alien knowledge to be found within these lesser-traveled paths. What is found is likely to be surreal, ‘insane’, ‘grotesque’, Gigeresque, alienly erotic, etc. In short, parts of ourselves some of us wish we never knew existed. To some it might simply be ‘strange and beautiful’.

Azathoth is the ‘ruler’ of the Outer Gods, and it is his Will that we intend to petition (through Nyarlathotep) so that we may share the dreams of Cthulhu (not an Outer God, but a Great Old One , who are very powerful ancient alien beings).

Azathoth is portrayed as the ‘blind idiot god’, a monstrous nuclear chaos. Cthulhu can take many forms, but is most frequently portrayed as a huge octopoid headed humanoid. It is said that Cthulhu sleeps in his sunken city of R’lyeh, beneath the Pacific Ocean…waiting for his followers to awaken him.

Nyarlathotep frequently appears as a jet black humanoid…but has other forms as well. It must be mentioned that these Gods are said to wish humankind nothing but cruelty and insanity, or at the least, blind indifference.

You have been warned.

Materials required:

– Hair of a black dog
– Black hair of a human
– A black beetle
– Black (dark) earth
– Black blood and/or sperm*
– Black ash
– Vaseline (or ‘Karmex’)
– Pungent incense
– Candles (ones that you’ve used for any ‘unbalanced’ workings)
– 1 or 2 handfuls of fragrant flowers
– Flute-like instruments

(a mortar and pestle would be handy, also a small container to carry home and keep the resultant)

The Ritual**

0. Prepare the room for working by burning a pungent incense. It should be dark except for the above mentioned candles burning. Participants should begin to work themselves into a trance-state. Those with flutes or pipes should be playing (arrhy thmic drumming is also good).

1. Participants can either be sitting or standing. Begin chanting (not in concert, i.e. not in unison) NYARLATHOTEP in deep, glottal tones. Visualize the Black Man (i.e. Nyarlathotep).

2. While building SLOWLY (1/4 to 1/2 hour ) to a frenzied state, participants should let their bodies gesture freely. Let go of the control of your body…it will seem as though someone or something else is using your body to gesture, dance, etc. Do not fight it. It might be slow and sinuous… or wild and ‘chaotic’…let it flow.

3. Continue the chanting, letting pitch and range go where it will. The Speaker begins the incantation:

Incantation:

NYARLATHOTEP ACROSS THE ABYSS
NYARLATHOTEP ACROSS THE ABYSS OF SPACE/TIME
NYARLATHOTEP UNGOYUD ERFELCOPGECHEREF
NYARLATHOTEP TELAL…HEAR OUR VOICE!!!

NYARLATHOTEP THOU WHO WOULDST
DEVOUR THIS WORLD AND CREATE MADNESS
AMIDST THE CHILDREN OF MAN
NYARLATHOTEP AXBIM XENCH’ZY VAWEG TELAL…
HEAR OUR VOICE!!!

NYARLATHOTEP ALAL….HEAR OUR VOICE!!!
NYARLATHOTEP SOUL AND VOICE
OF THE GREAT IDIOT GOD AZATHOTH
DEPENGA BYFETH CHO REMAN/ URGARTH
NYARLATHOTEP CARRY FORTH OUR DESIRE
TO GREAT AZATHOTH
THAT WE MIGHT PARTAKE
OF DREAMS OF MADNESS
A TASTE OF YOUR GIFTS…HEAR US!!!
NYARLATHOTEP FETH QICHI
FETH QICHI… FETH QICHI… FETH QICHI…

4. (Participants should begin a chant of FETH QICHI at this point)

NYARLATHOTEP TELAL ALAL
GUIDE US TOWARDS OUR DESIRE
LEND THE WILL OF AZATHOTH
TOWARDS OUR DESIRE
THERE ARE DARK OFFERINGS
AND MADNESS IN OUR DESIRE
WE ARE OUR DESIRE…HEAR US!!!
AZATHOTH!!! DEPENGA BYFETH
CHO REMAN/ URGARTH
OPEN THE DREAM REALMS OF CTHULHU
TO OUR NIGHTLY WANDERINGS…
THAT WE MIGHT SHARE THE DREAM MURMURINGS
OF THE AXBIM VAWAJEZA NAGUZ
IN OUR OWN DREAMINGS
AND OF HE WHO SLEEPS IN
THE SUNKEN CITY OF R’LYEH
LET HIS DREAMS SHOW FORTH UNTO US
THAT WE MIGHT KNOW
AZATHOTH AXBIM JECHOVOG
BOXATONG CHO LAXENGAB
THROUGH NYARLATHOTEP HEAR US!!!
NYARLATHOTEP IS THY WILL
AND HIS WILL IS OURS

5. At this point the chanting should lower to sotto voce and participants should begin to place their materials into the mortar…all except the Vaseline/Karmex

NYARLATHOTEP YOUR SEED
INTO THE MORTAR TELAL ALAL
YOUR CHILDREN INTO THE SALVE
THE DREAMS OF CTHULHU WITHIN TELAL ALAL
IT IS WHAT WE WOULD HAVE

6. Begin to crush and work the ingredients into a paste — the animal hairs should have been finely diced beforehand — and the chanting should begin to raise in volume and pitch…when material is finished…go on:

NYARLATHOTEP IJACEEBO,
WOULD BE DEVOURER OF OUR WORLD
NYARLATHOTEP TELAL ALAL
UNGOYUD MANGEIF NAGUZ
IJACEEBO IJACEEBO IJACEEBO!!!
NYARLATHOTEP EDIN NA ZU!!!

7. At this point there should be silence… then all shout

“BARRA!!!”***

8. Blow out the candle and sit/stand silently for a few minutes, then proceed to banish with laughter. In a ceramic or porcelain bowl, mix the material with enough Vaseline/Karmex to give enough of a portion to all to take home. Ointment should be applied to forehead before going to sleep whilst speaking an appropriate short dedication/incantation. Write down your following dream(s).

9. One should do this a couple of times, but I wouldn’t recommend abusing it. Though I have done successful work with Nyarlathotep before, this ritual is as yet UNTRIED!!! You have been warned again…It is best to perhaps leave the mortar untouched and the vortex open until all have had ‘success’…then close/clean-up.

Good luck!!

* Black blood and/or sperm as follows: fluid should be produced under appropriate mind-set and placed in a silver (or bronze) chalice and left uncovered for several days… till it turns black. Use enough fluid to avoid evaporation.

** A Vortex may be opened above the mortar (on the altar), but it should be left open…until the fruition of the work (days?)

*** Participants might consider creating Elder signs at this juncture… basically a banishing pentagram)

NEPTUNIAN DREAM KEY

Background:

This rite was produced as a consensual project by members of Temple Anakai. The dream key is a configuration of three items: a white candle, Neptunian Dream Incense and a servitor, to create a base for a nightly rite to increase dream learning and awareness. Below is the rite for creating the dream key and attached is an addendum of different ways the group has implemented its use with commentary on our experiences, successes and failures.

The dream key seems to take time to reach full potency. Patience is a part of the key.

Materials needed:

– White candle wax (to be melted in the rite and to seal the Servator)
– A pot to melt the wax in
– An oven

Servitor creation items:
– Assorted colors of oven-hardening clay (i.e. Fimo or Sculpy)
– A transparent container

(formula created by Mystery Meat working group:)
3/4 tsp dark Poppy seeds (ground)
1.5 tsp
Mugwort
1 tsp Sandalwood
1/2 tsp Benzoin
1/2 tsp Jasmine Oil
1/4 tsp Musk Extra strength Oil
1/2 tsp Ambergris Oil
several Dehydrated shrimp

Note: Soak the dehydrated shrimp in the oils for an hour or so before mixing into incense base. Let incense “mature” for at least 24 hours before using.

The Rite:

-1. Create the Neptunian Dream Incense at least 1 day in advance.

0. Prior to start of rite, pre-heat oven per instructions on sculpy/fimo wrapping.

1. Statement of Intent:

“It is our will to create servitors for dream time to take us where we want to go!”

2. Sigilization and Naming of Servitor: Using your statement of intent, create the sigil and name (mantra) of your Servitor.

3. Visualization of the Servitor: Once the above has been completed, charge your sigil in any way you desire. After charging, chant the name of your Servitor over and over with your eyes closed until a vision of its material image is revealed to you.

4. Manifestation of the Servitor: Using skulpy or femo, create your Servitor using as various colors as you desire. Be sure that it will be no larger than the opening of its soon to be home.

5. Gestation of the Servitor: Once all have completed their Servitor and have placed them on a surface suitable for cooking, the MO takes the Servitors and puts them in the furnace. While the Servitors gestate, participants should recline, close their eyes and softly chant the names of their Servitors until the Servitors are born (and cooled).

6. Inhabitation of the Servitor: Place sand and ocean water into the Servitors new home. Add a bit of the incense. Place the Servitor in the container and cover opening with cloth, bind with a rubber band. Put the sigil and name of the Servitor on the outside of the container. (While inhabitation is occurring, the MO should be melting sealing wax.) Seal the top well with sealing wax.

7. Burn paper used to create sigil and name.

8. Banish with Laughter

CREATION OF A NAIL FETISH

Background:

The Nail Fetish is a type of servitor used in some areas of Africa. It is composed of a Fetish Figure, the Fetish itself, and nails. The Fetish Figure is generally carved from wood, but this rite utilizes wax instead. The actual Fetlsh is a pouch containing ingredients — such as those listed below — empowered for a specific purpose. The Fetish bag is hung around the neck of the Figure or placed in a hole in its body. Once the owner has created the Fetish, s/he drives a nail into the Figure each time its power is used. When there is no more room for nails, the power of the Fetish is gone and it is time for all materials to be destroyed. The Fetish created by means of this ritual is for the purpose of protection and defense.

The items needed for the creation of a Nail Fetish are: easily malleable wax – beeswax is suggested; a small closeable pouch or bag; myrrh incense; one package of medium sized nails per person; Fetish materials — whatever strikes you as important to the purpose of protection (African regulars include such pleasantries as ground bone, teeth, jaws, leaves, hair, blood, spit, bile, and herbs); and if desired, small bells hung by string may also be used (these increase the power of the Fetish). A name for the Fetish may be determined beforehand or the participant may allow the name to come to them spontaneously during the rite.

The Rite:

0. Statement of Intent:

“I will to create a Nail Fetish to protect, defend, and avenge me in all matters.”

1. The incense is lit and all participants take a few moments breathing deeply.

2. The Figures are moulded while all participants name their figure as a wax servant by slowly chanting:

“ABATA MENHIU”

(The Figurines can be moulded in any shape desired. Unless the participant plans to hang the bag from the figure’s neck (with yarn, for instance), it is necessary to create in the stomach an orifice large enough for the Fetish to fit into.)

3. When all the Figurines have been shaped, they are placed aside. Participants mix together their choice of ingredients in their pouch while naming their Fetish as protector, defender, and avenger by chanting the word:

“ANETCH”

4. Placing the pouch in tha orifice of the figure (or around the neck), participants state:

“ANETCH ABATA MENHIU”

5. If desired, participants may now hang bells from their figure.

6. The fetishes must now be brought to life. Participants need to give them the “breath of life” by placing their lips tight against the orifice containing the pouch (or against the stomach) and blowing air roughly out into it, emptying the lungs completely. Let the word “ANSH” come out upon the breath, thus empowering it with life.

7. A nail is driven into the figure, piercing through the Fetish pouch and into the orifice. With this piercing is uttered the words: MAAK UA, _______ (Fetish’s name), thereby commanding the Fetish to protect its owner.

8. Banish with Laughter.

Henceforth, the owner will drive another nail into the Fetish each time a situation arises for which s/he desires protection, defense or to be avenged for some wrong doing. As the nail is driven into the Fetish, the owner should inform the Fetish of the particulars of its duty. The nails don’t hurt the fetish, they release its power, so don’t start feeling sorry for your servant (though a sadistic rush is aLways allowed). When there is no more space anywhere on the Fetish Figure for another nail, then it is time for the Figure and its Fetish to be destroyed. The nails should go with the figure into oblivion — to purposefully remove them is to negate the acticns they achieved. A participant may choose to draw a sigil on the head of their nail as an added force.
